Where to keep text and details
On the lock screen, the date and the large clock fill the upper part of the iPhone 18 Pro Max's screen, with the Dynamic Island above them. Widgets can sit right below the clock, and the flashlight and camera buttons cover the bottom corners.
Keep text and faces in the middle or lower half. The generator places every template's text below the clock automatically.

What size is an iPhone 18 Pro Max wallpaper?
1320 × 2868 pixels. That is the native resolution of the display, and a wallpaper of exactly this size is shown without any scaling.

It works, but iOS scales or crops it to fit. Fine lines get soft and text near the edges can be cut off. For the sharpest result, make it at 1320 × 2868.
Does the iPhone 18 Pro Max switch the wallpaper with dark mode?
Not for your own images out of the box. A Shortcuts automation can swap the light and the dark version at sunset and sunrise. Step-by-step guide.
What is the iPhone 18 Pro Max's screen size in points?
440 × 956 points at 3x. Apps lay out in points, but a wallpaper uses the full pixel count of 1320 × 2868.
